“When to Learn is as important as What to Learn”
Tolu Alao

If learning must be natural and easy you must as a matter of fact learn when you are not under duress of any kind- internal or externalYou learn best when you are in a low stressed state. You must realize that during such periods you learn at remarkable rates and consequently remember more. Thus, you must prepare to take advantage of these periods.

Personally during such times, I tackle my most dreadful task, I read the subject I ‘hate’ the most and to my surprise, I begin to enjoy them. I call these periods ‘high’ energy periods, because this is when the momentum (or what we call ‘ginger’) to learn is high and from experience once you have momentum keep it running!

You’ll be surprise what you can achieve during such periods. Timing can save you a whole lot of energy and reduce stress if harnessed correctly! Remember, there is always a ‘when’! Reading ‘intensively’ for instance when you are in the ‘mood’ can increase your chances of learning drastically. Don’t cheat yourself, surf the wave when it’s at its peak.
Many people struggle to learn when it’s absolutely not conducive; they spend hours if not days trying to ‘force’ themselves to learn; if only they realized that knowing the ‘when’ is as important as knowing the ‘what’! It’s important you also know that you can ‘create’ this favorable time we’re talking about!

Generally speaking, you learn best in a low stressed state. Work towards being in this state anytime you want your learning to be efficient. Take your mind off ‘issues’ that make you stressed, whatever they may be, even if it’s just for the learning moment.
