So let’s dive into today’s lesson:

***

As Engineer Leramo walked out of the class, I could hear some brotherly conversation in thick 'baritone' voice on the corridor, Engineer Kilanko walked in!
It was time for one of the 'most-talked-about' and 'most-dreadful' courses of all in Mechanical Engineering Department 300 level, the software that made many shiver-THE INVENTOR©!
I could hear whispers all around about the failure rate in the previous academic year backed with sufficient evidence of the class populace.
'Waoh!!' uttered my lips as I looked towards the gurus Tolu, Stella and Ejiro. Tolu and Stella were smiling, while Ejiro was 'emotionless' with his usual 'bring-it-on-attitude', their attitudes could tell the state of their mind.
Twisted a bit 45 degrees to my left, I noticed the reaction and the trend of words expressed from some lips. Immediately, I could tell who would fail! They had fallen for the 'un-renewed-mind' trap of deadly gist even before the lecturer started talking!
As for the chief observer, Abbey, he remained solid, unmoved by the hostility in environment. Sleep disappeared from my eyes as Engr. Kilanko stepped out; quickly he ran to another 'guru' Kenneth to make enquiries and I could feel the calm in his voice, again, I realized who to look up to, it had to be MY COURSE REPRESENTATIVE.
In exact words I said 'INVENTOR IS NOT HARD!' As exams came by I knew inwards that I would triumph no matter what was said. I had an intrinsic confidence, A MENTAL ILLUMINATION!
'Results are out' was the announcement in chapel as Mechanical Engineering students moved swiftly to College Building to know their fate, particularly in 'THE INVENTOR'.
A 50 percent failure rate and 5 A's were recorded, but this is where it gets interesting; almost everyone got exactly what their lips said.
I looked through my score sheet and saw an A! I already booked that flight 2 months earlier with my lips.
You see friends it's not about what people say, it's about what you believe, say and do!
There's nothing like a hard course, a stubborn boss, a difficult exam, a tough life, the one and only thing that exists is a hard mindset fueled by people's words, unwilling to accept the demands of change and challenge!

Pass the test of the mind which starts from the heart to the mouth then your academic success becomes inevitable. Simply put, speak what you want to have, believe it and act on it because GRADES HAVE EARS!!!

That brings us to the end of our first episode, hope you were able to get something out of it, cause I certainly did, positive thinking seems to have really worked for Abioye and it can for you too, just give it a try.

Don't forget to leave a comment.

Hope to see you next time on The Learning Boost!

Thank You.
