A CALL TO ACT!!!

on Sunday, 10 March 2013

Dear Reader,

We live in a time where what used to be the norm no longer is. Times have changed, and one thing we can be sure of is that the world will keep changing. Never in the history of mankind has science, technology, economics, entertainment, sports etc changed so rapidly! As a matter of fact whatever works now, is already obsolete. Methods, procedures, techniques, processes, practices, methodologies and systems presently in use are becoming out of date.

We live in an age where ‘adaptation’ is in high demand! It would seem like the learning system especially the formal category is not moving along with the tide; as a matter of fact this is the case. Students are still expected to conform to models designed for the previous century. With all the social, economic and technological innovations present today, it is difficult if not impossible to learn the way we use to learn last century and still make significant progress.

One of the major challenges of this century is that information has multiplied over and over again, so the present day learner has to learn a lot within a short period amidst the many distractions (TV, adverts, social media etc) of the present age. He/She has to rigidly comply with certain ‘rules’ to learn anything.

The present society is in dire need of variety, a blend of skills, know-how and abilities which the present learning system fights vehemently. This is why I am proposing an alternative learning platform where it becomes possible to learn naturally without any rigid ‘framework’. Where learning is fun! Where people have the freedom to express themselves in what they do. The plus of alternative learning platform is that we build a happier, effective, efficient and more energetic society that is set and ready to tackle the present issues on this age!
This is why; we at the learning revolution are keen on finding alternative learning platforms relevant for this age. We therefore employ you to join us in this revolution!

You Will Learn,
Tolu Alao
